FAQ

The most common reason is your Steam Privacy Settings. The Steam API can only fetch your game list if your profile is set to Public.

How to fix it: Go to Steam ➞ Edit Profile ➞ Privacy Settings ➞ Set „Game details” to Public.

The easiest way is to paste your full Steam Profile Link. Simply open your profile on Steam (in a browser or the app), copy the address bar (e.g., https://steamcommunity.com/id/[[yourname]]/), and paste it here. The app handles the rest. Alternatively, you can enter your Custom URL name (e.g., Jdoe) or your 17-digit SteamID64.

The Steam API does not automatically see games that are shared with you via Family Sharing. To include them in the raffle, you must manually point to the owner’s account.

What to do: Paste the Profile URL or ID of the person sharing their library with you (e.g., your sibling or friend) into the optional field.

Result: The app will combine both libraries, remove duplicates, and pick a winner from the total pool.

Note: The lender’s profile must also be set to Public.

Checking this box restricts the randomizer to games you have launched in the last 2 weeks. This is perfect if you want to continue a current adventure but can’t decide which active game to pick.

If you uncheck the „Include VR Games” box, the app attempts to exclude games that require a VR headset.

Disclaimer: The filter works by analyzing game titles (looking for „VR” tags). It is effective in 95% of cases, though some niche VR titles might occasionally slip through.

Once a game is selected, click the „PLAY / INSTALL” button. This uses a special link to open your local Steam client (or Steam Deck interface).

If the game is installed: It will launch immediately.

If the game is not installed: Steam will prompt you to download it.
